What are Gigs?

Gigs on Wizer are those short-term opportunities you create yourself. You have a special skill to sell, like developing the SEO strategy for a brand from scratch or writing catchy social media posts. A gig lets you promote those skills to service seekers who need help, like someone with a business needing social media content. In a nutshell, it’s a way to be your boss and get paid for doing what you’re good at.

How to Create a Gig on Wizer? The Ultimate Guide

Once you are done with setting up your profile with all the details. There comes the major step. That is, how to create a gig on Wizer?  Here’s how you can do it:

  • Look for the “Add Package” section in My Wizer. This lets you create a gig, which is essentially a service you’ll offer.
  • Instead of creating the gig directly in the app, Wizer will send a special link to your email address. This link will only work on a desktop/laptop, so keep your eye out for that email.
  • Once you receive the email, open it on your desktop and click the link. It will redirect you to a page where you can fill in all the details about your gig.

Step 1: Overview

This breakdown will guide you through creating a catchy title and search tags for your social media marketing or any other gig:

1. Gig Title: This grabs attention and communicates the service you offer. Include relevant keywords potential clients might search for, like “Social Media Marketing”, “Social Media Manager”, or “Content Marketing”. Consider who you’re trying to reach and write down the title accordingly.

2. Category & Subcategory: Choose the platform where you’ll be offering your services. Our popular options include “Digital Marketing” or “Website Development”. Subcategories accordingly refine your offering. For example, if you’ve chosen digital marketing, your subcategory would be Social Media, Search Engine Optimization, Affiliate marketing, or SMM.

3. Search Tags: These are keywords that help clients discover your gig. Focus on keywords directly related to your services. For instance, if your niche mainly lies in social media, like “Content Creation”, “Social Media Management”, “Strategic Content Writing”, or “Content Ideation”. Enter them one by one, maximizing the allowed number of tags.

STEP 2: Pricing

For any freelancer like you, customising your prices according to your level of expertise is important. It is divided into three categories namely—basic, standard, and advanced. Under each, you flexibly choose a package, the duration you take to deliver a project  (e.g., 1 Month, 3 Months, 6 Months), and what you provide as per the package. Choose the package that best suits your needs:

  • Basic Package: Ideal for short-term projects like writing blog posts, emails, or social media content.
  • Standard Package: Perfect for medium-length projects like website copy, marketing materials, or reports.
  • Advanced Package: Best for lengthy projects like white papers, in-depth social media strategy, or academic publications.
STEP 3: Describe Your Gig in Brief

Aka, what is all about you specialise in? Let’s say you are a social media manager. What are the targeted skills or niches you have? How do you make a brand’s social media presence grow? All in all, share your experience or journey as a social media expert as if you’re telling a story to someone. Your gig must reflect your version of working as a licensed professional. It should be written in a way to grab your target clients in the global domain.
